Who We Are
Tyson Redpath
Tyson Redpath joined the Russell & Barron, Inc. team in 2005 after twice serving on the legislative staff of Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH). During Tyson's tenure on Boehner's staff, he served as Chairman of the Committee on Education and the Workforce and Vice Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture. Tyson served as a Legislative Assistant to Leader Boehner and was responsible for advising him on policy matters concerning agriculture, trade, the federal budget, financial services and tax. Legislative accomplishments include passage of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act, the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act, and the American Jobs Creation Act. In 2004, Tyson directed VIP operations at the GOP convention in New York City and volunteered for the Bush-Cheney 2004 Campaign in Ohio.
Prior to returning to Capitol Hill in 2003, Tyson worked as Director of Government Affairs for the National Grain Trade Council; a trade association representing national grain exchanges including the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Kansas City Board of Trade, commercial grain handlers and other agribusiness companies. In this capacity, Tyson served as the day-to-day lobbyist for the association and communicated its federal policy priorities to staff and Members of Congress and the Administration. He was also responsible for serving as a liaison with association member companies and assisted with planning and hosting the association's semi-annual meetings.
After first serving on Boehner's staff, Tyson left Capitol Hill in 2001 to join the law firm of Olsson, Frank and Weeda, P.C., where he specialized in issues concerning food safety, child nutrition, generic drug applications and other U.S. Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration related matters. He also managed the firm's two political action committees.
A native of Oxford, Ohio, Tyson grew up on a farm and worked in the family-owned businesses including two John Deere dealerships, residential real-estate holdings and construction. Tyson now resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife Renee Juidiciani and their daughter Helena.
